Your group can help the developing world! Here's how.
EWH will do everything for you so that you can focus on the good you are doing.
We can help you select a hospital, or we can work with a hospital that you select. We will work with the hospital to determine their needs. You will know that your donation truly meets their needs. We will also take care of obtaining donated supplies and equipment to meet the needs, obtaining any required user or service manuals and training manuals and obtaining any needed translations of the manuals. When it comes time for shipping, we will process the shipping paperwork, pack and crate the materials, match supplies with the equipment (so you don’t ship an ESU without Bovie pencils), bills of lading, docking permits and fees and fumigation if needed. When the equipment arrives in country, we’ll help with customs negotiations and ground transportation. When the equipment arrives at the hospital, our engineers will install the equipment, training the staff to use the equipment and train the technical staff to maintain the equipment. After the equipment is in place, we’ll return to the hospital with spare parts, extra supplies, additional training, or whatever we can do to make sure your donation is effective.
We produce documentation you can use.
We produce a written report of what equipment was delivered at what real cost and at what street cost. You will be able to tell your donors exactly what leveraging they got for their dollars. We produce a photo documentary that you can show at a church or club. Your group will know who their money has helped. We produce a final report which includes in most cases, case histories of specific patients that have benefited from your donation.
We offer a flexible program.
- We collect used equipment from hospitals and have student volunteers around the country repair the equipment. This saves your group tens of thousands of dollars. However, you can optionally select to have some of your own collections, new or purchased used equipment included.
- You can select the hospital or we can help you make a selection.
- Your group can gather humanitarian equipment to add to the container.
- Your group can have a delegation on hand when the container is opened.
- We can add a video documentary. A short movie can say much more than slides.
- We can add a fourth trip. Repeat training is often the key to success.
- We can use student volunteers for some destinations. Students spend longer in the hospitals and can save your program money and improve your relationship with the hospital.
We are a partnership.
We don’t just offer a service. We offer you a partner. We’ll work with you to determine how best to help the local hospital provide local food, lodging and transportation for the engineers, be that home stays or hotels. We have a variety of fundraising materials including printed matter, speakers, presentations, movies and more.
