An EWH Kit is a pre-packaged project that contains all necessary parts and instructions for assembly. Kits provide simplified, miniaturized examples of health care technologies. Students of all ages build them to learn engineering principles and technical skills in order to better understand the use of technology in health care settings.

EWH sells Kits to Chapters and other groups to provide hands-on learning activities and to help support our mission to educate the next generation.

Who builds kits?

Anyone can build EWH kits! Many different groups have found EWH kit builds to be fun and educational:

  • EWH Chapters build kits to involve students in activities that support their mission
  • Engineering schools build kits to introduce students to practical skills and applications of technology
  • High school classes and science clubs build kits to teach technology principles and technical skills
  • Creative teachers use kits to promote discussion of technology and global health inequities
  • Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and similar groups build kits to learn soldering and contribute to a worthwhile cause
  • Professional engineers build kits to contribute to their corporate giving missions

We are excited to announce that our new ECG Simulator is currently available. An ECG (electrocardiogram) simulator is an electronic tool that provides cardiac monitors with an electrical wave similar to the human heart’s signal. Besides testing the monitor’s performance, it also can be used to teach health care personnel how to setup the input parameters for ECG machines. EWH’s Simulator Kit can generate three important ECG signals: left arm (LA), the right arm (RA) and the left leg (LL).  This Kit is also suitable for classroom electronic teaching in biosignals.

Engineering World Health’s ECG Simulator Kit is an educational tool only and is not to be used for any other purpose, including any medical, diagnostic or other laboratory applications.

If you would like more information, send an email to or order from our website using the Order Form.
