Cost and Fees
It is the policy of Engineering World Health to work hard to ensure that the financial cost of this program is not a deterrent to participation for any student. Last year, more than 60% of all participants received financial aid from EWH, and nearly half of all participants were on full scholarships, paying only a nominal deposit. While ideally the host communities provide housing and meals, the sites that need EWH the most can’t afford to help finance our participants. The Summer Institute’s program fee allows us to send participants and supplies to the most remote locations, thus assisting the hospitals with the greatest shortfalls.
We expect participants to share in our effort to help the disadvantaged and we fully support them in their efforts to raise funds to pay for their program fees. To receive materials and advice on how to effectively raise funds please contact us at info@ewh.org.
Each program has a separate fee and includes different features. Please read the following pages carefully before applying. Note that the family program requires additional fees not detailed here.
